HBL also offers a freelancer account for the freelancers to receive international remittance directly to their bank account. In this blog we will discuss how to create HBL freelancer account.
To open HBL freelancer account, follow this link and click on Apply Now. Then choose Apply Now again on the new window and agree to the terms and policy of HBL. If you want to open account for yourself, choose “I would like to open and account for myself” but if you want to create account for someone else, then choose other option and press Next button.
Upload both sides of your CNIC for account verification. There is no need of any other document to open HBL freelancer account. Now enter your CNIC number, mobile number registered against the same CNIC, CNIC issuance date, your email address, OTP received on your email address, and submit. Then choose between Regular account and Islamic account.
Now select your current occupation between freelancer, salaried person, student, house wife, self employed, landlord. There are different sections for document verification of each option, but as a freelancer, you only need a to upload your CNIC images for verification. Then choose one between Current account and Saving account. Then choose one between Islamic Assan Digital account and Islamic Assan Digital Remittance account.

Now choose preferred city and nearest HBL branch. Then fill your personal information form with your name, date of birth, father’s name, gender, city of birth, and mother’s name. Now enter you KIN information. Then choose whether your are a dual nationalist or not or tax payer of any other country or not.
On the additional info form, choose your profession, industry of work, field of work, and purpose to open this account. Then enter information of your financial supporter including his/her name, father name, CNIC number, date of birth, place of birth, and country. Then declare the account ownership.
Now choose few options on Service Subscription menu related to debit card, e-statement, e-statement frequency, SMS alerts, mobile and internet banking, and HBL marketing updates. Choose Yes or No on each option according to your desire. On the Upload Document menu, take a live selfie of yours by giving camera access to HBL and submit it. Then accept the terms and conditions of HBL and submit your application.
After submitting your HBL freelancer account creation application, you will receive the confirmation mail and SMS within next 24-48 hours. After successful account creation, you can use your HBL freelancer account on HBL mobile application. You once need to visit your nearest HBL branch for biometric verification to increase your account limits.
